With options like human hair, synthetic hair, clip-ins, tape-ins and professional salon methods, the category gives clients more ways to match their hair, lifestyle, budget and maintenance needs.
That appeal is especially strong with Gen Z, a generation that sees beauty as part of self-expression and self-care. First Insight found that 59% of Gen Z consumers cut spending in some categories so they can afford premium purchases in others, with health and wellness, skincare and beauty among the areas more likely to get that extra spend.
